Business Administration bachelor degree programme
Tailor-made for tomorrow’s managers: the perfect mix of business administration, the latest in information technology (IT) and a strong practical focus get you ready to assume operational management responsibilities.
You’ll have plenty of options open to you at the end of your three-year degree. Regardless of the industry or specialism, this full-time programme is the ideal preparation for launching your career or moving on to a postgraduate degree. In-depth IT-related expertise is a particularly valuable asset.
The degree programme: Bachelor of Arts in Business (BA)
In the current age of digitalisation and rapidly changing, competitive global markets, prospective managers have to contend with major challenges.
This full-time bachelor programme offers an outstanding blend of business administration, new technologies, soft skills, law and English – a unique combination.
This opens up new opportunities at the intersection of different specialisms – such as marketing or management controlling and IT – as well as typical career paths for business administration graduates.
Some courses are taught in English, which helps you to take your language skills to the next level. There is also the option of spending the third semester at one of our partner universities, and completing an internship abroad in semester 4.
After completing your degree, you have everything it takes to enter the world of business – you have a range of options for starting a career or you can enrol on a postgraduate programme.
Full-time or part-time – which is the right format for you?
The Business Administration bachelor programme is offered as both a full-time and a part-time degree. Your choice of format depends on your personal situation.
Opening up new perspectives
If you already have a job, you’re more likely to choose our part-time programme. The goal is to enable you to take the next step in your career or change profession after graduating.
Lectures take place on Fridays and Saturdays, so they can be easily integrated into your work schedule. There is also a block week each semester. What sets this programme apart is that you and your colleagues can analyse cases from your day-to-day work during lectures – which can lead to some interesting discussions! You can also address problems facing your company in the course of various projects and written papers.
The full university experience
If you want to focus on your studies and enjoy all aspects of student life, a full-time programme is the one for you. Lectures take place from Monday to Friday. So you will be spending the majority of your time in Krems, which allows you to benefit from all the additional extras and services the university provides.
Don’t worry, the programme still has a strong practical focus, with an internship lasting several months, as well as business case studies, simulations and partnerships with companies. We’re proud to be able to give our students applied knowledge – in other words, helping them study the art of applied sciences.
Courses such as Programming and Data Processing enhance your knowledge of IT. After graduating, you are in a position to take decisions and work as a ‘translator’ at the interface between management and IT in your company. In other words, we won’t train you to be a mechanic, but a very, very good driver.
