Just an hour’s drive from the Austrian capital Vienna and Vienna International Airport, Krems is an increasingly popular location for domestic and international conferences, symposiums, seminars and meetings.
A historic town with a contemporary edge, Krems is brimming with cultural attractions, as well as culinary highlights around every corner. And nowhere else in Europe has a greater concentration of higher education institutions. Krems is located on the Danube and right next to the Wachau: a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Region with an up-and-coming tourism industry right on Vienna’s doorstep.

Please bear in mind: we are a university which also provides event hire services, and teaching operations for almost 3,000 students run from September to the end of June. Therefore, please note that in some cases it may not be possible to offer you the exact date/s you have requested.
The International Meeting Center
A venue with unique appeal
Opened in 2012 and featuring a state-of-the-art events hall, IMC Krems’ International Meeting Center has become a hugely popular venue and a unique amenity in a town famous for excellent wine and its diverse cultural attractions.
It offers premium facilities for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) and has a maximum capacity of 540. The International Meeting Center is a place where business, academia and research as well as cutting-edge infrastructure combine to create a very special setting.
With 1,726m² of floor space and a ceiling height of 4.2m, the venue is suitable for a variety of events: meetings, retreats, conferences, training seminars, symposiums and business functions.
Hosting sustainable events
The International Meeting Center was certified in accordance with the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Meetings and Green Events in 2016. This reaffirmed its status as a pioneer in sustainable and careful treatment of the environment among event venues at Austrian universities of applied sciences.

Training and IT presentations
From meetings and product presentations to training sessions in one of our PC labs or seminar rooms – Wing G at IMC Campus Krems has state-of-the-art facilities and a distinctive character all of its own.
This splendid baroque building is the university’s original site and features beautiful seminar rooms.
International Campus IMC Piaristengasse in the historic old town offers modern facilities and a distinctive atmosphere – the ideal location for your event.
An architectural gem dating back to medieval times
Gozzoburg castle – an urban castle built as a high-status residence and place of work – is the town’s historic centrepiece and a popular destination for visitors. The 13th-century medieval building was recently given a new lease of life thanks to renovation work completed in 2017.
It now features a modern events area with first-class catering facilities and state-of-the art function rooms in the building’s historic spaces – including the Wappensaal, a hall which is perfect for exclusive events.

Expert, flexible service: our tried-and-tested partner will meet even the most challenging of technical and AV requirements – no matter whether it’s for a small meeting or a large-scale company event.
All seminar rooms have a video projector and screen. Contact Tonstudio Friedrich KG directly to organise any additional AV equipment (services are invoiced directly by the company).
