Transnational programmes and projects
Krems exports know-how all over the world
Our university is a recognised partner for education and consulting projects at home and abroad
Transnational partnerships
IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems designs tailored solutions for partners from the education and business sectors. Our education experts have a wealth of experience with ‘exporting’ our degree programmes and heading up international projects.
International project management
The university’s experience extends well beyond Europe – examples include successful projects in Oman, Namibia, Azerbaijan and China.
There’s ample scope for transnational cooperations in the following areas:
- Bachelor and master degree programmes at our partner universities abroad
- Continuing education courses at our partner universities abroad
- Intensive seminars such as train-the-trainer courses, as well as summer schools
- Projects in Austria and abroad
Tailored to local needs
designed down to the last detail to meet the local needs of our partner universities. And of course, an international focus remains a key aspect.
English as the language of instruction, international lecturers, and the opportunity to live and study in Krems – our students enjoy ideal conditions for launching an international career.
Simply more practical
Melding theory and practice is also foremost in our transnational programmes. For our students, this translates to a range of inputs and projects directly from the business world.
Another highlight is the practical training semester. Students gain invaluable experience by working at an enterprise in Austria or abroad.
How can your university become a cooperation partner?
Our contact persons will collaborate with you to develop a curriculum and contents based on IMC Krems’ know-how.
Moreover, they will help you manage project coordination, quality assurance, accreditations and selection of teaching staff. IMC Krems can also provide you with our own lecturers as part of the Flying Faculty programme.

A European degree with a full range of benefits
Graduates find that their degree opens many doors. Depending on the programme, they earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business (BA) or Master of Arts in Business (MA) from IMC Krems.
So they receive a European degree from a recognised Austrian university, which gives them full access to European postgraduate programmes.

Maximum flexibility
Full-time or part-time; in Krems or at the cooperation partner’s location; from just one to a maximum of four semesters. Our team collaborates with the client to design an academic training programme to meet their individual needs.
In our role as consultants, our university can leverage its wealth of experience to put together the ideal package for you.
Examples of successful continuing education courses
We’ve been working with Thuongmai University in Vietnam for many years. And we’re rolling out a new transnational master programme there in autumn 2018.
In 2010 we launched the three-semester International Business master degree programme, serving five cohorts in a part-time format.
Moreover, we’ve developed a two-semester International Business master degree programme in collaboration with Hue University in Vietnam; it has been running since 2013, serving two cohorts.
Further education programmes designed to meet your needs
In addition to traditional intensive seminars, IMC Krems offers train-the-trainer seminars and summer schools.
You’ll benefit from our expertise in subjects such as tourism and hospitality, management, health, sustainability and digitalisation.
What are the specifics of your course design? These are determined by you. For instance, you might specify the content or time period for your training programme: from one to several weeks – the choice is yours. And of course, our team will be happy to advise you from the very beginning.
The project team will also plan the course location in line with your requirements. Either our experts will travel to your university, or participants can attend the course at IMC Campus Krems.
Full-service packages
One thing that the packages have in common: they're designed to be flexible as well as meeting your specifications.
Our project team will assume full responsibility for coordinating organisational matters. If you choose Krems as your course location, participants will be well looked after: from putting together an attractive mix of courses to arranging accommodation, meals and airport transfers – the project team will manage every organisational aspect.
And there will also be time for recreational activities: company excursions, expert talks, executive evening sessions and field trips are all part of the schedule.
For international undergraduate students
IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems offers a 2-week summer programme for international undergraduate students in Krems, Austria - right in the centre of Europe.
The credit-bearing programme combines theoretical lectures and immediately supplements this knowledge with practical examples. Through visiting companies, studying real-life cases and talking with industry experts, we make sure students develop the essential skills necessary for working in the area of the offered courses.
An additional cultural programme and exciting social activities are sure to turn this summer course into a memorable experience. You will profit from it in more than just an academic way.
Make the most of your summer!
